Hello Team,

It would be great to have a Step Group Cycle Time option for the Timer Duration widget.

Currently, if you want to display the same timer across multiple steps within a step group, the only available option is App Cycle Time. However, this does not fully support this use case.

For example, if I spend one hour on a main page outside the step group and then begin working within the steps of the step group, the timer displayed inside those steps already includes the hour spent on the main page. In this scenario, the timer should only track the time spent within the step group itself.

Adding a Step Group Cycle Time option would provide more accurate timing for workflows that span multiple steps within the same step group while excluding time spent elsewhere in the application.

Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Hi @Jhondy,

Thanks for the write up.

Step group timing is available today, though it sits under a label that makes it hard to find.

In the widget datasource picker, open App info and expand “Time Elapsed On Step.” That list includes step groups, not only individual steps. Selecting a step group returns the time accumulated inside that group, so time spent elsewhere in the app is excluded.

It pauses when the group is exited and resumes on re-entry rather than resetting. And it points at one specific group rather than following whichever group is currently active.

Best,

Ilana
