# App-Version of running App vs. available released App-Version

Hi ,  
pls include the information of the current version of the running app.  
So I can check at the start if there is a newer release and the user have to restart the app.

Or is there an other way to check the current version?

Hey @ChrisF -

I just wrote up a feature request for this.

I know of a few customers who do tracking this in a table, but we could easily just expose `app info.most recent version` to allow you to use this in a trigger conditional.

We don’t automatically trigger restarts in apps when new versions are published (right now) because we don’t have a lot of good context on when this needs to happen, and restarting would do things like clearing placeholders that would need to be reloaded.
