Hi team,
I would like to ask that data from the Recent Activity tab within an instance is made available to App Builders.
Context:
The Recent Activity tab is a fantastic source of information that is particularly well-suited to performing instance-level audits - an important activity for regulated customers. Site/ Central Leadership can analyse data from here to understand how, for example, critical tables and table records have been managed within a Production instance or when new APIs have been created, and then cross-reference that through Governance processes to ensure activity is compliant.
Issue:
This is an incredibly admin-heavy, multi-platform manual process today. Site Leads need to export the Recent Activity data and process it outside of the platform (i.e. in Excel) to find the answers they need. Furthermore, they are impacted heavily by the 1000-record export limit, which is quickly surpassed at even small sites, making the job of lining up records by date to have a continuous dataset between two dates incredibly error-prone and tedious.
Ask:
Enable on-platform analysis of the Recent Activity data by surfacing the data to App Builders within an instance, thus enabling apps to be created that automatically check for and alert Admins to the high-risk activity labels that already exist in the table (e.g. activity containing “deleted record”).
This would be a compliance win for platform leads in regulated industries and brings the Recent Activity data in-line with other available datasets in Tulip .
