# Mobile Player 2.4.0 Release

Version 2.4.0 of Tulip Mobile Player will be available for download by 9:00 PM ET on September 13th, 2024! If you have auto-updates enabled, the Mobile Player application will update in the background and changes will take effect the next time the application is restarted. Alternatively, you can manually initiate the update process from the menu.

Is there any chance this update fixes the problem that pdf files are not previewed inside the app but downloaded to the device instead? 😃

Which menu are you talking about? I do not see the update button in my current mobile player.
Will it appear after the update is released ?
I do see the menu on the desktop player.

Dear @ta-aoki,
The manual update would be managed through Apple’s App Store, not on the Tulip Mobile Player itself. Please see this support article from Apple [here](https://support.apple.com/en-us/102629).

I updated the player but the table with non-ascii character ID still does not seem to export. Does our server need to be updated to specific version?
