# Release 217 - November 2021

These are the product updates in release 217 of the Tulip platform.

Release 217 will be available for some customers on 11/2/2021 and will be live to all production customers the following week.

New Functions in the [Expression Editor](https://support.tulip.co/en/collections/1747323-adding-logic-to-frontline-operations-apps#expression-editor)

Two new functions have been added to triggers and the expression editor to allow users to store images in tables or as variables, and convert time intervals:

- STRING\_TO\_IMAGE\_URL
- INTERVAL\_TO\_SECONDS()

Improvements and Bug Fixes:

- Users must now set a machine type when [creating a machine](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/3828069-intro-to-machine-monitoring)
- When creating a new machine data source, the [OPC UA option](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/2822803-how-to-build-your-first-opc-ua-connector) will no longer show twice
- Added “Clear on Completion” and “Save for Analysis” toggle options to the variable text widget
- Repeated incorrect login attempts will result in a time out before being able to log in again
- The look and formatting of pop up modals across the platform have been updated to be similar
- The look and formatting of empty pages across the platform have been updated to be similar
- Scrolling behaves as expected in the “New Analysis” pop up modal
- [Signature Form Steps](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/2875777-creating-a-signature-form-step) do not appear blank when created
- [Analysis widgets](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/2294656-how-to-embed-analytics-in-an-app) will not flicker when an analysis recomputes
- [Completions](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/2294670-how-to-complete-an-app) will not show a station name when running on an unassigned display device
- Static lists of strings can be used in the “Is In” filter in Tables and Tables widgets
- The text cursor is shown when hovering over text fields in the [Expression Editor](https://support.tulip.co/en/collections/1747323-adding-logic-to-frontline-operations-apps#expression-editor)
- [CSV exports](https://support.tulip.co/en/articles/2291034-how-to-export-app-data-to-csv) of shared Table Analysis export properly
- The “equal to or greater than”, “equal to or less than” symbols in triggers are formatted the same
- Users can create bar charts for Tulip Tables with the count of rows with distinct values, without needing a numeric column
