Debug of triggers

Hello,
If you create any complicated trigger with some logical in it (more that 1-2 else if conditions) it is very hard to track where is the wrong implementation of my logic process.
In the test mode, I can see the current value of variables (not all but this is for another issue) it is very helpful but realy not enough, so how can you help me finding a bug in a trigger or series of triggers of single widget ?

There should be any kind of tool that let you investigate the flow of triggers.
