I have a suggestion for the forum: so that I don’t pollute the support forum, how about creating a new category for Developers? That way I don’t cause a lot of noise or confusion for users with more general support questions. Good idea or bad?

You’re totally right, this actually exists for custom widgets specifically. Not sure how you were missed when this group was created, but I just got you added. You should be able to get there here.
