Hey everyone!
We’re excited to share that our new Edge SDK is now available—and we’re inviting you to collaborate directly with us on building custom drivers. We recently launched the Edge SDK at Hannover Messe, significantly expanding how Tulip connects to your shop-floor devices. To catch up quickly, check out these helpful resources:
- Quick LinkedIn post explaining how Edge Drivers work
- Our Knowledge Base Articles
- Example drivers on GitHub
- Edge Driver NPM package
By the end of May (Player 2.8.0 release), you’ll be able to run Edge Drivers directly on Windows Player—initially supporting MT-SICS, Ohaus scales (Serial), Torque OP, and more! The SDK also supports CLI commands, making it easy to connect and test your devices with Player. We’d love your feedback on using the SDK. In exchange, our team can help you directly build or even build the driver for you.
Currently supported protocols:
- HiD
- Serial
- Modbus
- Torque OP
- TCP (coming soon)
- MQTT (coming soon)
Don’t see your protocol listed? Let us know—we’re actively considering more! Interested?
