We recently had an issue where a citizen developer’s modifications to an app were overwritten when we imported updates made to the app from our central instance. The app in question is a central standard, but sites are able to make slight tweaks to it to fit their needs. The citizen developer didn’t snapshot/publish the app before we did the import. To avoid this, we are requesting a feature that would automatically snapshot a given app before the import is completed. Basically, an auto-snapshot of what the app was right before import.
