I am facing an issue with Tableau connector. Their web connector is deprecated and we need a way to connect the Tulip database to our main visualisation platform utilised at our company.
Hey @nadine.xuereb -
A clarifying question here - have you previously connected Tulip to Tableau and are now having issues after the deprecation on their side?
Any more details about the issue you are having with the connector is great!
Hi Beth,
We never managed to connect to it. Tulip representative have suggested to use the web connector however, we were not able to connect to it even after following the documentations.
We use Tableau for all dashboards and having everything displayed on a unified platform, is ideal to establish standardisation.
Hi @nadine.xuereb -
Understood. It looks like with Tableau deprecating Web connector 2.0, we may need to update connectors on our side to be able to connect with their web connector 3.0. Would be interesting to investigate having an out-of-box connector in our library for this in the future as well!
Another option that would be possible now and that may be preferred since you mention you have all your business data coming into Tableau for visualization, what a lot of our customers do is go Tulip → Data Lake / Data Warehouse → Tableau (or analytics visualization tool of choice). We have some guides here on how that can be done. Ecosystem Integration Guides
Take a look and let me know if that seems like a better option for you and any follow up questions you have!
