Tulip is excited to announce an important update on how we deploy new releases for Tulip. With r292, Tulip began to ship releases weekly for a portion of our customer base. On the week of November 20th with release r295, all non-LTS customers (long-term support releases) will transition to this schedule and begin receiving new versions of Tulip each week.
This change aims to continuously enhance the service, quality, and reliability of the Tulip platform. More frequent releases will enable improved testing processes and smaller increments of change, which will help reduce the risks associated with each update. Additionally, a more frequent release cadence will allow Tulip to respond more quickly to any issues that may arise and is in line with industry best practices and standards.
Please note that this change does not apply to the Tulip Player, Edge devices, or connector hosts. The LTS release cadence for regulated industries will remain the same at every ~6 months.
If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Tulip Support or your Customer Success Manager. We are here to help answer any questions you may have. We are excited about this change and the value it will bring to our customers!
