Hi everyone,
I’m Sunny from planeus. We are a Tulip Tech partner focus on planning and scheduling.
Over the past months, we’ve been exploring how AI agents can be used in a practical way on the shop floor from a planner’s perspective.
This idea I’ve been working on is a Schedule Support Agent.
Honestly, the concept itself is straightforward, and also applicable beyond our software.

The problem it solves:
Operators often have questions about something outside their operations, for example: the schedule.
Asking these questions usually means interrupting someone else, who may be busy, unavailable, or working with incomplete context, which can lead to delays or mistakes.
What it does:
This Schedule Support Agent is basically a consultant whom the operator can ask any time.
It will look into the plan and provides answers in plain language.
At the moment, operator can ask the Agent to
- Better understand why tasks are prioritized
- Look ahead at scheduled work and dependencies
- Identify where risks might occur
- In some cases, react to issues themselves
What else can be done:
The same Agent idea could be extended to other systems — for example ERP, inventory, or quality management — wherever information exists but is not easily accessible by the person who ask for it.
So it’s less about automation, and more about making other information accessible and understandable for whom need it.
I understand AI Agent might still be in its infancy - but we believe this concept of an informative agent that can look across systems and explaining context in a simple way, would be a pretty solid use case.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk ![]()
