Analysis Table UI Improvements

It would be excellent to have more options in the appearance of an analysis, particularly the ‘table format’ analysis

A very large amount of dashboards I’ve seen utilize many single number analytics or table aggregations in order to gain control over the look and feel of the dashboard.

The core components for this are:

  1. Using aggregations in order to color code values - people need clear visualizations and context for what their numbers mean at a glance.
  2. Using independent values to gain control over appearance - The UI of analytics tables is currently not editable, meaning there is no way to improve the appearance of the data, add weight, or align to a visual standard

This leads to folks needing to use a lot of single values, or opting to build custom widgets to visualize value in a way that aligns with their needs. Large numbers of single values can create issues with volume based on the number of queries living on one page.

I would be very excited to see visualization options to manipulate things like conditional formatting, padding, border radius around values, text size, etc.

Hi @BrianHaselton!

Thanks for the feedback, we are aware of the need for better visualisation options to explore and understand data more effectively.

We’re excited to share that we’re currently working on conditional formatting for interactive table widgets, which we’re aiming to deliver by early 2025. Following that, we plan to expand this functionality to table analysis as well.

I’d love to discuss our plans in more detail and hear your thoughts on how we can further improve these features to meet your needs, your input would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Cana
