Is it possible to set the permissions for “Everyone” in instance? so that it is set to “Can View” by default instead of “Are Owners” when a new application is imported
As per our Tulip standards, we have a step related to our Permissions where we have to manually change this setting for the “Everyone” role type and it’s just wasted time.
If this can be set to “Can View” by default then it will save time and make errors in the process less likely to occur.

Hello Kasilingam, which release of Tulip are you using? Can you check under Account or Workspace Settings to see if you have this setting available?

i don’t see this option under account setting. and we don’t have workspace enabled.

Ah I see. This option is not available on LTS12 and all point releases, but it will be available on LTS13.

Hi Kasilingam, can you clarify what you mean by “this too will set all users as owner by default”?
In the screenshot I shared, which will be available in LTS13, that second option called “App Creator” should allow you to accomplish the goal here.

if we create app in workspace, everyone can be a owner of this app based on the screenshot you mentioned.
my ask is if we have any setting where everyone can be a only “viewer” of the newly created app.

Yes, that will be possible once your company adopts LTS13.
Once your company adopts LTS13, you will be able to toggle that setting to “App Creator”. But unfortunately, the option is not available on LTS12.
