Auto close query popups?

Greetings.

Currently (r307), if you go to the Records tab and click on a query, a popup shows up. Then, if you click on another query, the new popup will be displayed next to the existing one (and even sometimes below it (!)). As of now, you can even accumulate several ones, leading to this rather artistic display:

I contacted the support about this but I was told, surprisingly, that this was an expected behavior. I honestly have a hard time believing that this is convenient for users, which is why I’m writing this topic. Even in a case where you would want to compare two queries, this doesn’t feel handy at all to me.

I think query popups should auto close, just like the Records tab’s table popups and aggregation popups.

I think any benefit from this behavior, such as comparing between two queries/aggregations, could easily be achieved by having a duplicate window, rather than the “pile-up” effect that we have now.
