Having the Master Layout is great and can save a lot of time, but I would like to have an option where I can create a new step that ignores the Master Layout and creates a blank step instead. This way if I need a step that doesn’t use the Master, I don’t have to go through and unlock/delete all the unwanted objects.

Hey Jason, great news! We are releasing a solution for this in the next 2 weeks. It is a button called “Remove all master layout widgets from step”. You will find it in the “Step” tab of the Context Pane in 2 weeks
