Feature Request : Tulip Dashboard function in Embed

Hi Team,

We are currently exploring ways to seamlessly integrate our Tulip dashboards into the Tulip app to provide a more comprehensive and streamlined user experience. Our goal is to avoid the need for frequent app updates as our dashboards evolve with new analyses. We believe that adding a feature to display entire dashboards would offer significant benefits. Like, Centralized Access, Efficiency, Flexibility etc…

We have attempted to implement this functionality using the Webpage feature in Tulip, but unfortunately, the link functionality seems to be broken.

We kindly request your evaluation of this feature request and would welcome any insights or suggestions on how we might achieve this integration.

Thank you.

Hi Jay – thanks for reaching out. Try the dashboard embedding again – I just enabled a setting on your site to let the site be embedded on itself. When embedding Tulip in a web page, you have to add an explicit allowlist of the embedding sites.

Hey Mason could you enabled that for me as well? dentsply-test.tulip.co & dentsply.tulip.co

Thank you so much for this feature.

Hi jay.shah,

Thanks for the suggestion! Can you share more about your usecase here? I am interested as to why you are for preferring the app editor rather than displaying the dashboards page? Do you want to present your own branding? Would you want to display additional information along with your analyses? Understanding these and how you typically interact with your dashboard would help me a lot in understanding the feature request and creating a ticket. We want to improve the dashboard experience in the future, and your input would be a greatly appreciated

@jjj all set! To others reading this in the future – we’ll be releasing this for everyone in the coming months, under a new site setting called “Domain Allowlist”

Thanks!
Is the header/control bar supposed to be visible and active when embedded into the app?

vs. the same link when opened in a browser

Hi - @canaalpaslan,

Thank you for your response. Currently, we are already utilizing the dashboard sharing link feature, which has been working well for us. However, we have identified a need to add these dashboards into our app. This is because not all operators in our company have direct access to the general TVs where we display these dashboards. By incorporating the dashboards into our app, we can provide all operators with the opportunity to utilize analytics.

The main reason we requested this feature is to ensure that everyone in the company is using the latest dashboards. We continuously update these dashboards for the operators, and in the past, we have encountered situations where we updated the dashboard with new functionality but forgot to update the individual analysis in the app(most common human error). By using this feature, we can avoid such discrepancies and ensure that all team have access to the most up-to-date analytics.

Additionally, we aim to create a one-stop shop for our team, where nobody needs to manually share dashboard links. This way, everyone can stay informed about the latest analytics without any extra effort.

Thank you again for considering our request. We believe that implementing this feature will greatly benefit our team and improve our overall workflow.

Try in Player you will not see that.

I hate to be a grinch, but I strongly recommend avoiding this feature. That URL becomes public and is available to anyone who leaves your company and/or accidentally receives the link.

Also, in this scenario there is a very clear alternative of just putting the analytics into a tulip app.

Hi @danielpomeranz
Yes, you’re correct. Thanks for raising this concern in this community and that’s why we’ve been cautious about sharing dashboards with employees. However, we believe that this new feature can significantly mitigate these risks.

@jay.shah I am confused. Does this work without the embeddable dashboard link?
