Help Needed with PDF Generation in Tulip App

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project using the Tulip app and need assistance with generating PDFs. Here are the details of what I’m trying to achieve:

  1. Objective: Describe what you want to accomplish with the PDF generation e.g., creating reports, invoices, summaries, etc.
  2. Current Setup: Explain your current setup and what steps you have already taken e.g., any widgets or connectors used, workflows created, etc.
  3. Issues Encountered: Specify the problems or challenges you are facing e.g., formatting issues, missing data, errors during generation, etc.
  4. Steps Taken to Troubleshoot: Mention any troubleshooting steps you have already tried e.g., checking documentation, trying different configurations, etc…
  5. Additional Information: Provide any other relevant information that might help in understanding the issue better e.g., screenshots, error messages, versions of the software, etc.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Hello and welcome @whitesmaverick,
It seems that your actual details were lost during your post creation. Could you edit your original post? What is your project about? What do you want to achieve with pdfs?
Kind Regards,
Kevin

Hi @whitesmaverick!

I actually just implemented a solution combining a PDF generation for a client of us.

Let’s set up a meeting so I could get more details about your needs and see if I can help you with that

Hi i need this PDF convertor option, please guide how to get that.
Please let me know, does it required any customs widget to be sync.

I already doing by print step option to PDF print method for converting the whole step into PDF format.

Please let me know the availability of the options.

@whitesmaverick The easiest way to generate a PDF is to use the “print step” trigger function and use “print to pdf”. Does this already help?

@sureshkumar.k Unfortunately there is no of the shelf solution in TULIP to generate and immediately use a PDF. @eden also used the print step option (but on a hidden step) to generate the PDF.

If anyone has news on how to generate a PDF and use this in a file variable or so…I’m happy to see the approach.
