To preserve the integrity of the table record that is the electronic record for production batch record for a medical device, it is a requirement to have a way to set that particular record from being edited or deleted. This is to eliminate the possibility of anyone without the proper authority from editing or deleting the completed batch record.
For example once the batch record is reviewed and released by quality department, the record is locked down, by an user with the proper level of Tulip access, and nothing more can be changed in it and it cannot be deleted by anyone. Everything else about that record is still available, just no editing or deleting.
