The users with Account Owner role does not appear in the drop down list of App permissions.
Please show those users too.
The current behavior of not letting us select Account Owners might be OK if the role assignment would not change.
However, in reality, the role for each users does change over time.
In order to let us have a smooth role change experience, please let us add individual (currently) Account Owners to the App permissions.

I think this is a valid concern but I worry that you guys may be using the Account Owner role loosely. The role is specifically able to override all permissions and access everything. There is an argument that many instances should only have 1 or 2 account owners and they shouldn’t really change (outside of staffing changes). If you have specific reasons for needing to promote and demote people from account owners, I think that would be a more interesting thing to address for the Tulip team.

Staffing change is the case I found this behavior unsatisfying.
I also wanted to use the App permission feature to explicitly show who owns which App for our management purpose.
