Revision Control for Vision

Hey,

For the vision package could there be a setup for revision control and publishing of the vision setup?

Ideally this would operate like publishing apps where we could have backups of the Vision configuration and see when changes were made.

thanks

Hi @mcombs,

Just to clarify - are you asking for versioning of vision regions (similar to what you’d see in Apps)?

For a shorter term fix, you could duplicate the camera configuration.

Thanks,

Jake

Hey @jakerigos,

You are correct. Similar to what we use in the Apps where these could be published and reverted back.

Currently we have several people making modifications to react to issues with the system. Without any tracking or even a way to make comments, we see modifications that were clearly made for short term issues, but not reverted back.

The downside with duplication of the camera configuration becomes the latency that we experience with the amount of camera stations we already have. With 12 camera systems, we can see 10-15 seconds for loading time for the vision tab on the website for Tulip.

thanks

Hi @mcombs,

I believe that we will be tackling the slowness on the vision page in the near future.

Sincerely,

Jake
