Hello Tulip Community!

Does this same functionality exist in Automations? If not, can it be added there too?
Hi William, we have not added it to Automations yet but we are definitely considering it. What are you hoping to accomplish, if it were available in Automations?
I have a similar need…
I send an email to some clerks, if there are new tasks in a table.
This is checked once a week.
These are currently hardcoded and each has an individual action in the automation.
To send this mail to a user group would shrink this to one action and would allow me to manage the recipients in usergroups (without touching the actual automation).
This would also allow, to trust that I can manage all user related rights and mailing lists in user groups and not distributed in apps, user groups, automations, tables…
My specific use case is generic and I was comparing the email function in a trigger action to the email function in Automations.
Automations provides better functionality in that is allows for setting of the Subject separately than the message. Also, Automations doesn’t put “Tulip Alert” in the Subject line. Bottom Line: the current functionality in Automations compared to the functionality from a trigger action provided a much better user experience.
Definitely agreed there, William. I think better email flexibility would help many Tulip customers. Will update this thread when we have news on this front.
