Actually the more you differ from 40 the bigger the differences are.
I agree: please finally fix this! This is discussed 2023, 2024 and 2025 now.

Thank you for the feedback and the upvotes. This is on our radar, and we’re continuing to watch feedback.
Consistent sizing/styling is a trickier one as it covers many widgets with different edge cases. We’re balancing what we can easily do in the short term vs a wider overhaul of the apps experience. We’ve started prioritizing a few other areas, like disabling widgets selectively as those are also highly requested, but have fewer edge cases.
