Wow…all this time and I didn’t notice I could select a Step Group. I have never needed that but didn’t even know it was possible. ![]()
One of our customers also wants to be able to print PDF documents directly when creating test protocols - without a print dialog.
The aim is to ensure that the worker does not have to leave the app and make any manual settings such as file name, folder, printer, paper format or duplex printing.
The desire is to have a fully automated printing process with predefined settings.
This would make the workflow much more efficient and secure, as:
- Media breaks are avoided,
- operating errors are reduced,
- time is saved
- and overall user-friendliness is increased.
We welcome feedback and would also welcome alternative approaches that address this need.
Same here…
also we want to use the pdf directly in the app, e.g. in order to save it to a Tulip table.
Hi TULIP Team,
The customer mentioned in the above message has just mentioned again that around 50-60 reports are printed every day. These are then sent to their customers and contain measurement values, for example.
With such large quantities, it is understandable that it is frustrating to have to use the print dialog every time, which leads to media breaks, potential operating errors, wasted time, and reduced user-friendliness.
The ideal solution would be a fully automated printing process without a print dialog box and with predefined settings.
Is this something that could be considered for implementation? Is this possible in any way (even with additional tools)?
I would appreciate a quick response.
