Have you used this with a table record?

The inputs to widgets are only locked to a specific type, so @nils.husemann just defined that you need to input text from any source. This means you could pass it just about any type of text including a table text field:
One of the only limitations right now is you can’t pass a custom widget an expression, but that is something we have discussed, and could potentially add if anyone wants it (?).
