The current Tulip download https://download.tulip.co/ makes it difficult to tell versions.
I’m used to listings like this so I can tell the rev number
https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html
And history
https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/changes.html
And for Linux it would be very nice to have it as an APT or snap to make updating easily automatable!
Yes please!
We currently have no visibility into when we need to update our players. Before Tulip made the Linux version official, they would send us the install file which had the version number at the end of it.
@Beth I see this is done for Windows
We have a use case question about the need to roll back to a previous version of the Tulip Player. For example: Validation is written to a specific version of the Tulip Player, however a newer version of the Tulip player has been made available.
At the same time, the AUTOUPDATEENABLED is set to True, enabling updates. A machine could launch the tulip player and the player updates to a version higher than what’s allowed in the validation documentation.
If this were to occur, is there a site or …
Can it be enable for the linux player?

Hi @mellerbeck and @Alan.Madorin ,
Thank you for the feedback on player downloads. We just implemented the version download for Linux in the same method as Windows and Mac:
https://download.tulip.co/releases/prod/linux/amd64/Tulip%20Player-2.7.0.deb
For auto-updating Linux Player, it’s not easy for us to do this but something we can definitely work towards.
On the apt/snap side, we need to do some investigation.
Sincerely,
Jake
