Network Drive Account Setting Postponement to r338

The upcoming change to network drive access will be postponed to r339 and beyond.

As a reminder, this change introduces a new site setting in the Account Settings page that gives you the ability to control whether users can read from or write to network drives. This setting will be enabled by default to disallow access to network drives, which is our recommended security posture. Access to local drives will remain unaffected.

We originally communicated that this new setting would be introduced in r329, with full implementation in r336. The updated timeline is as follows:

• r339 and beyond: The new site setting will be introduced and enabled by default to disallow access to network drives. The saveImage and openFile trigger actions will also begin to follow the state of this setting at that time.

Deprecation of saveImage and openFile writing to Network Drives

Tulip is implementing a new site setting in the Account Settings page which will give customers the ability to toggle being able to write to or read from network drives. This new site setting will be implemented starting in r329 and will be enabled such that writing to or opening from network drives is not allowed by default but can be modified.
