Object list editing

Hello,

Lately we learned the power of using object lists within the applications, it really efficient and allows to do a lot of things. We have however on struggle - they need to be planned precisely - we need to know each field is needed, what type of field it is (text/number etc) since it cannot be edited easily when we start already using it. It would be great if this wouldnt be the case - if the object list could be edited real time while used via the Variables module - that would allow us to be even more efficient. If this would be possible that would be great. Example screen:

Would be happy to cooperate on this matter.

Thanks,

Karol

I understand why Tulip does not allow you to remove or edit fields. This can break triggers. But adding should be possible.

Thats true, but they should come up with a solution, since connector function versioning is a thing now.
And when you can change the output on a new version, but cannot adopt the variables in the app, the update will still be a pain.

One solution could be, to add an edit mode for variables. You check out the variable and this allows you to edit everything touching it, no matter if its valid or not.
When you check that variable in, it will check the validity and allows to adjust or roll back.

What do you think?

@thorsten.langner I think you are correct but the Tulip team needs to pick their battles when it comes to product improvement. This one falls under messy and non-blocking.
