Release 241
Changes and improvements are landing! There’s a new configuration option for authentication that defers method selection entirely to the SAML identity provider, vision users can now lock regions in place in the app editor to avoid having them accidentally moved by other users, and there are multiple improvements to warning messages and feedback for diagnosing and troubleshooting errors. Finally, a reduction in clicks and redirects when navigating from Tulip app editor to Tulip University.
App Editor
- Minor tweak to “Create Snapshot” icon appearance
- Input widgets in the app editor now warn the user with an icon to select a variable or Tulip Table Record as a data source for the widget
Stations, Devices, and Machines
- Changed the login error message if a user cannot access any workspaces so as to eliminate ambiguity
- Added the ability to set Authentication Context Class in the SAML Config page to {{urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:ac:classes:unspecified}} and to disable authentication method matching entirely, which defers method selection entirely to the SAML identity provider
Vision / Machine Learning
- Add lock icon to regions which enables users to lock/unlock regions to prevent any other user from moving the regions unknowingly
Fixes, Bugs, and Performance Improvements
- The “Tulip University” link under the info header now goes directly to Tulip University.
