I’m proposing a new feature to schedule a specified date and time to publish a fully approved Tulip App.
Current: Tulip App ‘X’ is fully approved by all approver groups and is ready to publish manually.
Problem: Shift end is outside of normal business hours and/or in a different time zone to the app developer.
Solution: Add features to set the date and time that a new version of a fully approved Tulip app is allowed to be fully published and go-live to the applicable station groups in the set workspace time zone. This would essentially act as a ‘Scheduled Send’ email. This simple feature would be extremely useful in scheduling new App releases to production. By using this feature you could provide an exact cutover time to production teams as to when a new app version is live. Also, by scheduling the app release in ‘off hours’ you would ensure the team is all running the same and newest version of the app at the start of a particular shift.
