User Management

Provide capability to automatise and outsource the user’s management with user management tool.
Currently bot were provided to create user with operator’s role. It is missing to desactivate an user, modify access and roles and create user with plateform role

Hi Mathieu

It is certainly within Tulip’s mission to continue making user management more intuitive, faster, and flexible for our customers. We are considering features such as improvements to the Tulip API to deactivate and modify access as you suggested, as well as bulk user management through User Groups. You will see some of these additions later this year, and more in the future.

At a minimum the REST interface needs to be updated to handle the custom fields.

Hello Richard,

Bulk user management is certainly a topic that comes up quite a bit. I’m curious to hear which API actions you’d be particularly excited about. Would updating custom fields be of the highest impact for you?

Create and modify custom fields were how the discussion started

I think Russ answered correctly  But to be explicit…

We’d like to automate user creation, long term via Service Now (since IT already uses it). For that to work we’d need to be able to create/update the custom fields.

Hello
Is there any news on this topics.
In our organization, we still request capability on Tulip to manage user (read, create, change, disable) from an external tools that centralize the user provising process for all employes and systems access (tools like Saviynt).
One solution is providing User Api with full capability, today we are limited to create operator only, not possible to read, create Apps Builder, disable user, change, extract all users (for synchronization).
A more standard solution is now SCIM protocol (System for Cross-domain Identity Management).

Thanks for your feedback

We would also need user provisioning from Azure AD to make sure users are created, given the right permissions/role within Tulip, and removed based on Azure AD groups.

Most solutions we use support SCIM for this, which is the standard nowadays.

So is there any updates on supporting SCIM for this?
