Add Barcode Scanner VID PID order different between Tulip Player and Edge IO Driver Config

  1. I just realized the Vendor ID (VID) and Product ID (PID) order are reversed for the Tulip Player “Add Custom Barcode Scanners” vs. the Edge IO Driver Configuration for USB-BARCODE.

  1. Also the Edge IO interface doesn’t allow using the “0x” prefix to convert hexadecimal to decimal like the Tulip Player interface allows.

  2. There seems to be either a string length limitation or a prohibition against special characters in the Tulip Player interface that doesn’t exist in the Edge IO interface (it wouldn’t let me save with the “Name” in the image above, but the one below saved fine):

It might prevent user error if the two interfaces can be harmonized.
