I was wondering if you guys are also looking into potentially moving away from electron at some point towards a more resource efficient alternative to handle the UI layer.

We are working on upgrading the version of electron we use for Tulip Player which would benefit from performance improvement. However we do not have any plans to switch to a different technology. Election is a good fit for our needs. It is actively in development, with a very active dev community. Many popular apps like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, VS Code etc are driven by Electron.

Yes, and a few - Teams is a good example - are looking to move away from Electron to improve resource efficiency… hence my question.
But I guess you can’t have it all at the same time
