Dear TULIP Team,
Some of our customers have also noticed that it is not possible to change the colors in donut charts. This feature is a very high priority for them.
One customer application: displaying the duration of value-adding and value-enabling activities as well as waste. Unfortunately, it is not optimal to mark the data for value creation in red and the data for waste in green.
This does not correspond to the standards in this company, but certainly not to global standards either. We have been informed that some plants and departments require the correct colors before the corresponding apps and dashboards go live.
Since the color change is possible with other types of analysis (e.g. bar chart), different colors are used to display a database, which should not be the case.
Best regards,
Paul
Thanks for the question, we are aware of this limitation but unfortunately the problem is not as trivial as it seems. As the query result determines how the colors are assigned, the colors will differ in accordance with how they show up in the query result. You can also see this yourself by switching to the Universal Template, configuring the donut chart and then clicking on “Show Query Result”. One possible workaround could be done using a stacked bar chart, and then writing the operations such that the colors are according to your liking.
Best regards,
Cana
