Trying to figure out what this “Comment” field in the Completions table is for, and how I can write to it from Player sessions, if possible:
It would be helpful to be able to log a comment here to differentiate between completions, as I am trying to assess some app completions behaviors depending on how I exit and return to the app.
Hi @jmlowden great question. “Comment” is actually an older part of the platform called “Step Comments” that we are planning to deprecate, and have already removed from some user flows.
If you’d like to annotate sessions to differentiate between completions in realtime, we recommend using something like a Text Input.
Are you instead trying to annotate Completions after the fact? i.e. in review? Or what’s the full use case? cc @pete
I was thinking instead of Step Comments that it might be helpful for there to be a way for an operator to share feedback or context about an app session, so “Session Comments” or “Completion Comments” might be a useful evolution of that, and having that input show in the Comment Field (instead of the Step Comments that don’t show there but apparently should) would be a good place to view it. So it would be more about annotating “outside the app” variable and table data values and more of a generic annotation venue.
