Regarding March maintenance activities:
- Local DNS configuration change is to improve DNS reliability of Tulip services
- Database security patch is a minor version update for security purposes that does not impact customer data but requires a short downtime window to deploy.
- Kubernetes node replacement is related to a hardware deprecation notification from our cloud provider. Replacing affected servers requires a short downtime of individual Tulip services.
- Kube2iam, an infrastructure tool used within AWS environments, is scheduled for a version upgrade.
- Kubernetes nodes will be replaced with servers based on ARM processors. The node replacements will not impact Tulip customer instances but will require a short downtime to roll out.
- Database filesystem maintenance is a recommendation from our cloud provider that involves swapping the database server disk with a replacement disk. Both old and new disks will contain the same data, but there will be a configuration change regarding the filesystem.
Please refer to our Maintenance Event Schedule for further information regarding the date and times for regional maintenance windows.
