OCR function is not available in Vision

I’d like to use this feature, but OCR doesn’t appear in the type section.
Do I need to configure anything?

Hi @da-noguchi -
Can you please reach out to your success team?
We can enable OCR for you, as well as help you out with building your Vision-enabled app.
You can also keep us updated here on your work, or reach out to me (roy@tulip.co) for Vision inquiries.

@royshilkrot ,
Thank you for the reply.
By success team, do you mean a team that is doing well in my company?

Is this function available without needing to use a google API now?

Hi @DewyWCI, Tulip Vision OCR is still behind a feature flag but can be used once enabled on your instance. I’ve checked and it seems that your instance already has the feature flag enabled, so you can go ahead and use it in your apps
Let us know if you have any issues working with it and we’ll be happy to help you out!

Hello,
I’m in the same situation, I want to use OCR with vision but I can’t create OCR detector.
Could you please enable this feature for my workspace ?
Does TULIP OCR using a google API ?
Thank you.

@Steph Yes you can use e.g. Google or Amazon OCR engines with Tulip
This is an example of using Google: Using Vision's Snapshot feature with an External OCR Service
However, we also offer a built-in solution for using Amazon’s OCR. Please reach out and we can install a demonstration App on your Tulip instance for you to try the OCR.
