QR Code Reading Performance of Optical Barcode Scanner

Currently, when using the optical barcode scanner to read QR codes, it can sometimes take more than 10 seconds.
This delay is more noticeable with QR codes that contain a large amount of data, while simpler QR codes can be read without any issues.

We do not believe the size of the QR code is the cause, as the same codes can be read instantly using the standard camera app on an iPad.

Given this, would it be possible to review and optimize the current QR code reading process?

I agree.
This is in fact an issue we also recognize.
The iOS default scanner is much much faster…

We use hardware scanners even though they cost quite a bit of money. Depending on the application we use the Elo built-in ones that connect to their monitors which is a great no-cable solution, or if we need something portable we have both cordless Zebra and corded Cognex models.

Thanks for the suggestion.
We also use Hardware scanners, where possible. Unfortunately we have more than 100 stations, where this is not an Option.
