Setting up a display device using registration link

Hi Team,

I’m facing “unexpected error occurred” error while setting up the new device using Tulip player registration link. can someone please guide to resolve this issue?

i tried clearing the all data in Tulip player but it didn’t work.

attached the error screenshot.

Hey @Kasilingam.samy -

Can you shoot an email to support@tulip.co. This will trigger an engineering investigation. We will need some additional logging to troubleshoot this one.

HI @Pete_Hartnett ,

the issue has been resolved after change the user role from operator to supervisor.

Hello, we are also facing the same issue with role of “Operator”. Kindly provide the solution if we need to assign the same role (Operator) to user (other than operator)

Hi @Himani -

As of r287/LTS 13, operators are now able to register interfaces. Take a look at this article: Set up an Interface (Display Device) Using a Registration Link

Are you seeing the exact same error as above?

Are you by chance on an older release?

Any update on this one? I am getting the error on r358, and due to SAML I can’t log in to register with my user. I am on player 2.10.2 Additionally the users do NOT have access to register the interface and are getting an error as well.
