The idea of social distancing has become all too real in the past month. This means that the manufacturing community and communities at large are taking different approaches to eliminate crowds and keep the recommended distance between people. There are no good existing tools to help with this, so we built an app that tracks population density for a building or space.
This app uses a break beam sensor to count people entering and exiting a building. It then compares the totals to recommended thresholds and publishes a shareable status that you can access from anywhere.
