As a follow-up to unassigned player device behavior and in an effort to improve the compliance, security, and transparency of the Tulip Platform, we’re rolling out a few changes related to unassigned Players devices and their ability to run apps.
Tulip is rolling out a change to opening apps using a link. When opening an app ending in /player?app={PVS ID} - like in the solution provided community post - and accessing an app that is not assigned to the station that you’re on, you will not be allowed to access the app. Previously, you were allowed to access that app regardless of whether or not it was assigned to that station.
If you still try to access that app via the link, the app will not launch.
