User group - Additional feature/Issue

Hi Tulip team,

We have a one user group which we’re using between more than 40 people. I recently noticed that we’re not able to send an email to all 40 users because 3 users out of 40 didn’t verify their email ID within tulip. Is there anyway tulip can provide error log for this problem (identify all 3 users without checking all 4 users one by one) or provide us an ability to bypass this condition?

Let me know if you want more details or want to set up a call.

Thanks
Jay Shah

Hi Jay, let me make sure I understand the issue. Does the email fail to be sent to all 40 users because of those 3 users did not verify their email? Or does the email fail to be sent to the three users only?

HI Kevin,

Yes, You’re correct in 1st scenario. System didn’t sent to all 40 users because of those 3 users did not verify their email.

Thanks.

Hi Jay, we handled this as a bug fix. We made a change that will be coming with r308 where if there are users in a user group that havent verified their identity, the email to the user group will successfully be sent to all other members of the user group. It will still successfully send the email to the verified users. Will that help with this problem?

Hi Kevin,

Yes, this is will help me solve my problem. But just wanted to clarify - Is it necessary for the user to verify the email ID in order to receive an email? can’t we just bypass that?

Thanks.

That is the current long-time policy of Tulip in order to prevent spamming through our tool. If we did not require verified emails, it would be too easy to create a spambot with an app in Tulip via a bad actor.

Understood the reason, Thank you so much for the explanation and totally align with this requirement. Looking forward to r308.
