Camera Resolution

I have a webcam that can take a picture with a resolution of 2364x2448. When using the image input widget, the image captured is 1280x881. I understand with vision I can have super high res images, but we’re just looking to capture a high quality image that won’t be used for AI purposes.

The use case is we need to take a high quality picture of various labels before they are applied to an instrument. The image must contain the actual labels being applied. We would like to retain a copy of the labels prior to applying them. We’re currently using a copier for this task, but I think we can get something better using the image input widget.

Is there any way to increase the resolution?

Tulip - Poor image quality

Tulip - When using the camera widget in Tulip, the image is gets very compressed and any writing is very difficult to read. Is it possible to do anything about this compression? The camera on the device is very high quality and when I upload the image into Tulip the quality is fine, but once I use the Tulip built in camera the quality is very low. I compared the two files and when using the Tulip camera, the resolution is 1280x700. When I use the device’s native camera the resolution is 3264x244…

It seems in R262 the resolution was bumped. We’re using LTS 13.2, so I believe we should be on the new resolution. I may put in a support ticket after updating the team shortly…

Image Input Capture Resolution Differences Across Devices

Hello, I am using the image input feature in TULIP. I have noticed that the default capture button has a resolution limit, but this limit seems to vary depending on the device. When using the same application on an iPad and an iPhone, I observed different resolutions. Additionally, I came across another post ( Tulip Community 10128) stating that the resolution limit was increased from 1280 to 2560. However, in our instance, the limit remains 1280. I’m not sure what the actual new resolution is (width and height) but our camera is a 8MP camera with a image resolution of 3264x2448 (4:3) so hopefully we will be able to upload high quality images?!? I’ll close this now.
