Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar issue regarding Analytics where the Limit and Sorting functions become ignored. Or if this is an existing bug that the Tulip team are aware of.
I say ‘become ignored’ because when this analytic was first built it was working fine, displaying the last 3 cleans of a room as expected. However recently, it has ignored both the limit of 3 records and has been displaying 5 records that aren’t sorted in the order specified. The analytic also did not follow the filters that were added to it in the app in which it was embedded into.
The fix:
The fix was simply to remove and re-add the sorting, changing nothing, then to save and close the analytic. Everything then worked perfectly fine! A little frustrating as we had been working to try and find errors with the filters/the analytic itself.
(Image below just for reference of which section of the analytic I mean)
Just a bit more information in case a potential cause is known:
-
The analytic is created using data from App A and is displayed as an embedded analysis in App B, App C and App D with different filters in each of these apps.
-
Both of these apps and the analytic itself were created in the customer’s DEV environment and have since been imported into their PROD environment however the issue has been seen in both.
Thanks!
Ella
