Hi @koncvaker thanks for the suggestion. We have some related items in our plans for this year with the table design and customization. To help ensure we address your needs, what specifically would you hope to customize with the table formats? Is it only background color and font for the header? Are you looking to change the font style (bold, italic), font type, size, or something else?
regarding the last one, I have a sample. The top one is the smallest with TULIP and the bottom one is what you could do (e.g. with Excel). I have lots of tables, where I would like to take less space or prevent the need of scrolling!
If you start with the font itself here, you open a whole new topic (why only on tables headers and not for all widgets? Why not this or that specific font…). So I see this as a separate topic.
Not sure if this has since become a feature (it isn’t for LTS 8.2), but in-app and on the browser view of tables, the header rows disappear as you scroll down - pinning/freezing the header row would be a great default option for tables.
Thank you, this is exactly my thoughts and ideas about the tables. With these changes every application using tables would be a lot more user friendly both developer and user side.
The example you provided perfectly shows the problem with current minimum width settings and speaks from my hearth as well, there is a lot of different short columns in a production enviroment (measurement types, amounts etc.), that currently takes up too much of the user interface.
