Tulip Player NTP Settings

We are trying to understand NTP server settings on Tulip Player. Due to our network configuration, the default NTP servers for Player are unreachable. We have two questions:

  1. When the NTP servers are unavailable, does Tulip Player default to using the computer time settings?

  2. Is it possible to change the target NTP server for Tulip Player? How?

Hey Dan,

The I/O Gateway hits an external NTP server, you can see more details on that here.

The Tulip Player though, does not hit a NTP server. It instead syncs with your instance’s server for time.

So, there is no setting to fallback to your computer’s time, because if the server was unreachable, your entire instance would likely be unreachable.

Are you seeing a particular error on your end?
