A summary of all things happening in the Tulip Community
Hello everyone
I’m excited to introduce Release 285! This release brings a lot of updates to different features. Here are some worthy highlights:
Looping is now available for automations
Access and configure SAML more easily
Access a new field: User Groups in the trigger editor
Connectors can now publish to MQTT brokers
There are also some performance improvements and bug fixes that were reported by users.

Version 2.6.0 of Desktop Player will be available for download by 9:00PM ET tomorrow (August 17th, 2024)! If you have auto-updates enabled, the Desktop Player application will update in the background and changes will take effect the next time the application is restarted. Alternatively, you can manually initiate the update process from the file menu.

We have re-named the “Custom Widgets” category to the Developer Category . This category is now a place for Tulip Developers to ask more advanced questions about APIs, custom widgets, hardware and software integrations, and …
Update on this: we’ve reorganized the article navigation on the left side of the Knowledge Base. We’ve simplified folders to focus on the actions (adding Build, Run Apps, etc.) rather than have generic categories (removing Product Docs).
Additionally, the KB homepage now has quick links to these folders. You should be able to find and access content much easier now!

We are working on a set of EBR applications for a Process Industry customer, where some of their processes can last multiple days, across multiple shifts and be updated by multiple users. Each EBR app has multiple pages and multiple entries per page.
What would be the best practice use of Completion Records & Batch Tables to ensure that each action has the current user assigned and a new user can load the app and pick up where the other left off?

I used ChatGPT to help me create a more dynamic version of the ZPL Viewer widget so I could specify DPI and label size in the app.
The only problem is it doesn’t look like there’s a way to dynamically size the widget unless there’s a variable I can set in JS?
